Rescuing a Xiaomi MiBand 2 Fitness Tracker that won't sync.
This is a great budget fitness band and sleep tracker. Even a low budget Smart watch, since it tells the time and alerts you about calls and messages.
My wife's has been very reliable, but mine stopped syncing with my Android 7.0 phone after a few months. Nothing I found on the web gave me any help: many reboots of the phone, removing and reinstalling the app, ditto while the band was plugged into my laptop's USB port, etc.
I gave up, and left it in a drawer. 3 months later I thought I'd have another go. Charged the band, installed the app and it synced first time.
Moral: let the band's battery get really flat if all else fails.
